Ny Addisjon å Kameraten

If you can't understand Norwegian it says 'new addition to Comrade's' (at least thats what it's meant to say).

Yep, Norwegian Kim Rune Hansen is now a Comrade, and we're excited to not only have a flippin sweet rider amongst us, but also our first international Comrade!

You may have seen Kimmi in Burton flick 'It's Always Snowing Somewhere'. [Clip Below]

Also make sure you check out Kim's Website @ http://kimrunehansen.com/

Home

Over the last week in Mammoth the weather started closing in. We got about 3 days straight of rain, and to add to this the pipe cutter broke. Considering the parks had already closed the first week of out trip this left us with very little to do. So we made the call and decided to come home early.

30+ hours of travel and we finally arrived home to Aus. Sam, Nate and Charlie flew Reno> San Fran > Sydney... but Jase and Jarryd got the milk run. Parting from the other guys at San Fran the then went > LA > Sydney > Melbourne.

Now we await the Australian season, which by the look of the webcams today, isnt too far off.

Ouch!

Unfortunately on Sunday Comrade Jason Maxfield dislocated his left shoulder for the 7th time. We wish Jase a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the hill ASAP.

Friend of Comrades Kendall Brown also cracked some ribs and headed home early. Get well soon KB!

Mammoth MTB

Sam – Jason – Nate – Jarryd – Charlie (Van Dutie)

So after a few days on the hill it was time for a day off.
However rather than just chilling by the pool and taking in the sun we piled in the Red Rocket (The beautiful maroon beast pictured below), rented some mountain bikes and headed up the road to the top of Mammoth.

We did about 4 runs from top to bottom, each time trying to find new trails and pedalling up a storm to make each other eat dust... which there was lots of.
Jarryd claimed the first bail... and the second one. Going off the trail and over the handlebars. We all had a rad time bush bashing and trying not to lose it as we hit little patches of snow but after a couple of hours we were pretty beat so we packed it in and headed to Pita Pit.

Who Shot Ya!?

Over the last week Nate has spent about 3 days taking photos with Tyler Henderson, a US photographer from the East Coast. They got a whole bunch of incredible shots in the Mammoth Main Park and Pipe and down at the hot springs. The photo's will be in the next issue of Tranfer Magazine, so be sure to check it out.

Here's a little video of Nate shredding over the last week or so.
